This database is the first part of the Biblioteca Virtual Hispnica and consists currently of 143 titles which comprise 500,000 pages representing a wide variety of Spanish periodicals of all types: political, satirical, technical, literary, sports, religious, etc., ranging from 1772 to 1933. The application allows searching by title, place of publication, and dates of the periodicals as well as full text searching, because the publications are PDF files with OCR. Linkings are established both to other digital collections and to the bibliographic record in the National Library of Spain database
