The Gateway Study Center is closed for repairs to the heating system. For your convenience, Langson Library will remain open 24hrs until Friday December 13th.

ASL 6th floor drum closed to the public

All journals have been moved from the 6th floor drum to 5th floor in anticipation of construction beginning on the 6th floor.

UCI Legal Scholars Participate in Literary Orange

The UCI Libraries and OC Public Libraries proudly present Literary Orange http://www.literaryorange.org, Orange County's premier author event, on Saturday, April 14, 9:00 - 4:00 pm, at the UCI Student Center. This year's exciting line up includes a fascinating panel on the law featuring esteemed legal scholars Christopher Tomlins and Henry Weinstein, both of UCI's School of Law.

UCI loses the legendary F. Sherwood Rowland

UC Irvine founding professor F. Sherwood Rowland, who won a Nobel Prize for showing that chlorofluorocarbons could destroy the Earth's ozone layer, died on March 10 at the age of 84. The Libraries current exhibit, Discovery of a Lifetime: F. Sherwood Rowland and the Ozone Layer, explores the legacy of Rowland's research and leadership in atmospheric science.

Grunigen Medical Library opening hours changed on Monday, February 6, 2012.

As of Monday, February 6, 2012, the Grunigen Medical Library will open at 8am, Mondays-Fridays. Weekend hours remain 1pm-5pm. This change in the opening hours may impact some room reservations.
