UC Irvine founding professor F. Sherwood Rowland, who won a Nobel Prize for showing that chlorofluorocarbons could destroy the Earth's ozone layer, died on March 10 at the age of 84. The Libraries current exhibit, Discovery of a Lifetime: F. Sherwood Rowland and the Ozone Layer, explores the legacy of Rowland's research and leadership in atmospheric science.Grunigen Medical Library opening hours changed on Monday, February 6, 2012.
