Melvyl adds new journal articles
In a pilot project during Spring 2012, Melvyl, the catalog of the UC libraries, has been enriched with several million new journal articles and other documents from a wide range of databases, particularly in the humanities and social sciences.
Some important tips:
- Links in the left sidebar let you narrow your search to just articles, or to focus on items from particular databases.
- In most cases, Melvyl will display citations and abstracts, with the full text accessible through the yellow UC-eLinks button or other links provided.
- The Advanced Search screen lets you control which databases are searched.
- If off-campus, you may need to login to the VPN to access full-text journal articles. See http://www.lib.uci.edu/how/connect-from-off-campus.html for more information about connecting from off campus.
