Streaming Media Pilot Project

UC Irvine Libraries will be conducting a pilot of Swank Digital Campus during the spring quarter; Swank Digital Campus provides digital access to course-related films (streaming media) read more about this company at http://www.swank.com/digitalcampus/about.html and http://www.swank.com/digitalcampus/index.html. UC Irvine Libraries has purchased access to 25 titles that will be available on a first-come first-served basis to faculty/instructors.
To participate in the pilot:
- Search for titles: Swank Digital Campus film search at: http://college.swankmp.com/digitalcampus/search.asp (if you are unable to search Swank for titles please contact Danielle Kane for assistance, information below) or,
- Browse by subject: http://www.swank.com/digitalcampus/curriculum.html
- Submit title request by March 18th*: form available here: https://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?hl=en&formkey=dHZpMTVyVlg4R3hIU2U0QjZkMEtGckE6MQ#gid=0
* Forms will be accepted after this date, if you need the film available for the start of classes we recommend submitting prior to March 18th.
More information about the pilot:
Access to Swank titles will be provided to classes through e-reserves which requires a UCInetID. A secondary password will also be required (secondary passwords will be created by the library and provided to instructors to include in their course syllabus/materials. Students will not be able to access the Swank film(s) available for their class unless they have this secondary password.
The library will be asking that Faculty/Instructors complete an EEE Survey at the end of the pilot.
Please Note: An e-reserve form will be submitted on your behalf, an email will be sent to you with the password to the Swank film requested.
