Small Press Publications: Collection Strengths

The following authors are well represented by publications from a variety of presses.  Many other authors’ works also are held.

Publications by the following presses are included in UCI’s collection, as are works by many other presses.

We do not actively collect manuscripts relating to small press publications, but two small collections may be of interest.

• Darrell Kerr Correspondence with American Poets and Publishers, ca. 1960-1969.
  Correspondence between publisher Darrell Kerr and American poets and small press publishers of the 1960s.  Includes 46 letters from Peter LaRouche, as well as correspondence with Charles Bukowski, Larry Eigner, and others.
• Charles Bukowski Manuscript, Circa 1980-circa 1994
  An untitled handwritten eight-page manuscript prose piece by Charles Bukowski in the form of a monologue about life, the arts, friends, and many other matters, written with the honesty and humor characteristic of his other works.
