University Archives: Major Collections - Campus Administration

 

Publications and records from the highest levels of UCI's administration may provide a general overview of UCI's organization, achievements, programs, decisions, and activities. The University Archives holds materials from many of these units, including the Office of the Chancellor.

  • Central Records Unit Records (AS-004)  
    These records capture a large proportion of the most important, top-level incoming correspondence of the first three decades of UCI's history. Includes correspondence, departmental memoranda, meeting minutes, financial statements, statistical analyses, reports and plan generated by various units of central UCI campus administration and UC offices.
  • Chancellors' Files
    University business papers of UCI's first four chancellors: Daniel G. Aldrich (1962-1984), Jack W. Peltason (1984-1992),  Laurel L. Wilkening (1993-1998), and  Ralph J. Cicerone (1998-2005).  These collections have not yet been organized;  please contact us for more information.
  • Organizational Charts (AS-060)
    Organizational charts illustrate reporting relationships for major campus units, identify senior campus administrators, and communicate basic functions and areas of responsibility for offices and units.
  • Policy and Procedure Manuals (PS-008)
    Include historical UCI policies and procedures covering campus administration, academics, research, facilities, and students. This collection has not yet been organized; please contact us for more information.
