The UC Irvine Libraries are pleased to announce that we have started
an institutional subscription for online access to The
Chronicle of Higher Education for the benefit of authorized
UCI faculty, students, staff, and walk-in users to the libraries.
Direct access is available with the following URL:
http://chronicle.com
It does not require the usual Chronicle user name or password associated
with individual subscriptions .
Highlights of The Chronicle site:
- the Web site is updated daily with the latest news in academe
- all
the text from the current issue including job ads is posted
on Monday morning
- a searchable archive of back issues is available
dating back to September 1989
- all commentary and essays from the weekly magazine, The
Chronicle Review,
are included
- all the data from the annual Almanac and other reports in easy-to-search
databases is included
In addition, The Chronicle has daily news feeds available
