New Search Tool Provides
Easy Access to Multiple Resources
The UCI Libraries are pleased to announce a new Online
Resources search tool. This new search tool provides a single
search engine where you can locate the online resource you need by
its title or by keyword from the more than 13,000 online
resources available. It expands the set of searching options
to include not only online journals, but article databases, news
resources, reference resources, and statistical resources.
The new search tool uses simple commands to browse a variety of
sources by title or search for specific online resources. To aid
discovery, results are displayed alphabetically with convenient
links to online versions, useful descriptive information, and instructional
guides if available.
The new search tool is a work in progress. Future plans include
continuing to build a robust searching infrastructure that will
support searching additional types of resources, such as E-books
and E-texts, and browsing by academic subject (economics, biology,
physics, drama, etc.).
