The reception will follow the final session of the academic conference

“J”:  Around the Work of J. Hillis Miller

Sponsored by the UCI Dept. of English and Comparative Literature
April 18-19, 2003, on the UC Irvine campus

The conference presents new and innovative work in frontier disciplines of literature, theory, and cultural studies that have roots in the work and teaching of Professor Miller. Distinguished speakers will include Professor Miller and world-renowned philosopher Jacques Derrida. The Libraries' current exhibit, Beauty and Meaning: Art and Poetry in the Book  Arts of Mexico, will be on view during the reception.
