Robert C. Tucker

Robert C. Tucker is IBM professor emeritus of international studies at Princeton University. While at Princeton he has been director of the Russian studies program, chairman of the Council on International and Regional Studies, and faculty associate at the Center for International Studies.

Professor Tucker is the author of many monographs and several books including: Philosophy and Myth in Karl Marx, The Soviet Political Mind: Studies in Stalinism and Post-Stalin Change, The Marxian Revolutionary Idea, Stalin as Revolutionary 1879-1929: A Study in History and Personality, and Politics and Leadership.

Recognition for his work includes fellowships from the Kennan Institute for Advanced Russian Studies, the Rockefeller Foundation, the National Endowment for the Humanities, The Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences, and the Guggenheim Foundation. He has been elected a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and awarded the Pi Sigma Alpha prize of the American Political Science Association.
