Upcoming Conferences

The National Association for Asian & Pacific American Education (NAAPAE), in ccoperation with the University of California and the California Department of Education, will hold its 18th annual national conference at the San Francisco Airport Westin Hotel, May 22-26, 1996. The theme is "APA Education: Language and Culture in the Age of Information." Included will be a panel, "Research in Southeast Asian Refugee Education in the U.S.," focusing on sociocultural/linguistic aspects of schooling of Southeast Asian refugee students from K-12 to higher education. The Association for Asian American Studies will hold its 13th annual national conference in Washington, D.C., May 29-June 2, 1996. Papers to be presented include the following:
