Laptop Loan Services

Laptops can be taken anywhere on campus; not limited to the Library or Study Center (see Maps of Wireless Coverage)
Laptops with wireless cards are available for check-out at the
- Multimedia Resources Center (MRC) 1st floor of the Langson Library, LL 123
- Interactive Learning Center (ILC) 1st floor of the Science Library

Laptops can be loaned for two hours at a time
Borrowers will need a valid UCI Library Card, a 2nd picture ID, and a valid UCINetID

ILC Compaq Armada laptop includes: Floppy disk drive CD-ROM drive Touch pad that functions as mouse Two-hour battery Wireless networking card	MRC Gateway Tablet PC includes: DVD/CD-ROM combo drive Touch pad that functions as mouse Two-hour battery Wireless networking card
Software includes: Microsoft Windows XP Microsoft Office 2003: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer Mozilla Composer Secure CRT (PINE E-mail) Adobe Acrobat Reader Absolute FTP	Software includes: Microsoft Windows Tablet PC edition Microsoft Office 2003: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer Mozilla Composer Secure CRT (PINE E-mail) Adobe Acrobat Reader Absolute FTP

Assistance/Support:

Assistance in the use of wireless technology provided in Multimedia Resources Center (MRC) and Interactive Learning Center (ILC).
Assistance in use of network resources provided by the MRC and ILC staffs and also by reference staffs at the Langson Library Reference Desk (1st floor) and the Science Library Reference Desk (2nd floor)
