Through a special partnership with UCI Illuminations, we are pleased to co-sponsor a book club on Pachinko by Min Jin Lee, led by Professor Joseph Jeon. This is the first of several book clubs supporting the UCI Illuminations Authors Series. At each book club a UCI professor will lead a conversation around the book. Light refreshments will be served.

Min Jin Lee is a Korean American author currently based out of New York. She has written short stories, articles, and novels throughout her career. Pachinko, her latest novel - published in 2017, follows the journey of Korean immigrants as they make their way to Japan. The book has been named one of the 10 Best Books of 2017 by the New York Times.
