Librarian Honored For Lifetime Achievement

The Association for Asian American Studies has honored Southeast Asian Archive Librarian Anne Frank with its 2005 Distinguished Lifetime Service Award for her “unwavering commitment to local Asian American and Southeast Asian American communities” as the founder and curator of  the Southeast Asian Archive, a unit of the Libraries’ Special Collections and Archives Department.

Anne notes that “the Association’s members actively appreciate the work done by librarians and archivists to provide primary resources to support their teaching and research, and it is a great honor to be recognized in this way by my colleagues throughout the nation.”  She was nominated for the award by Associate Professor of Asian American Studies Linda Vo, a staunch supporter and very active user of the Archive in her teaching and research.
