Library Recruitments Continue

Recruitments continue in the Libraries, and spring/summer 2007 have brought us new executive appointees in information technology and administration, as well as a new Research Librarian.

Adrian Petrisor is the new Director of Information Technology. He has 13 years of experience in the IT field, including various similar positions in the private sector in his native Romania. He also served as Coordinator of Computer Applications at Florida State University. He has been employed in the Libraries’ IT department for the past year prior to attaining the Director position. Adrian holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, a Master’s degree in Business Administration, and is a certified Project Management Professional.

Rebecca Imamoto is Research Librarian for History and African American Studies. She previously served as Undergraduate Services Librarian at the University of Colorado, responsible for instruction to undergraduates and other research services. Becky is completing an M.A. in History from California State University, Sacramento. She has a B.A. in History from UC Davis and received her M.S. in Library Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Deborah Sunday has assumed the position of Associate University Librarian for Administrative Services, with responsibility for human resources, finance, and facilities. She has had an impressive career in academic libraries, including as Assistant Vice Provost for University Libraries at the University of Connecticut, Head of Academic Computing and the College Writing Center at the University of Washington at Tacoma, and Diversity Librarian/Reference Librarian at the University of Michigan. Her Master of Library and Information Science degree is from the University of Texas at Austin, and she has a B.A. in Sociology from California State University at Fullerton.
