Special Collections and Archives Completes Renovation

Special Collections and Archives, on the fifth floor of Langson Library, has had a face lift to improve conditions for our researchers.  With new tables, chairs, carpeting, and paint, the Verle and Elizabeth Annis Reading Room is now more spacious and comfortable.  We rearranged our shelving so researchers may appreciate the spectacular views of the campus from our floor to ceiling windows.  New tables conveniently provide access to electricity for laptops at each researcher station.  We have doubled our seating capacity, so we can accommodate instruction sessions for up to 24 students. The renovation also includes a new exhibit area in the Lobby outside the entrance to the Reading Room. The fall exhibit is Sixteen Books by Ed Ruscha, which runs from October 2011 – February 17, 2012. You are welcome to come by and see the improvements, and view our new exhibit.
