UCI Libraries' Phased Reopening Plans

Last Modified April 28, 2021

The UCI Libraries have developed a phased reopening plan to support research and instruction.

CURRENT OPERATIONAL PHASE:  Phase 2B (SPRING QUARTER)

  • Paging/pick-up services available by appointment for library materials outside the Langson Library front door or curbside in Lot 2 (Science Library and OC&SEAA materials may also be picked up at Langson. Select MRC materials may be picked up at the MRC.).
  • Limited reference and digitization services available for Special Collections and Archives.
  • Select study spaces in the Multimedia Resources Center and study spaces in the Libraries Gateway Study Center will be available by appointment to current UC students, faculty, and staff. The rest of the library buildings remain closed.
  • Interlibrary Loan staff are working on site in a limited capacity. Requests for printed works and other physical materials may be made at this time. However please be aware that our ability to successfully fill requests and the turnaround time it takes to receive them will be slower than usual due to continued library closures around the world and our commitment to safety for our patrons and library staff.
