Artists’ Book Exhibit Travels to Scripps College

The 2003/2004 UCI Libraries exhibit A Throw of the Dice: Artists Inspired By a Visual Text, curated by Professors Emeriti Judd and Renée Riese Hubert, is currently on view at the Clark Humanities Museum, Scripps College, Claremont. The exhibit, which examines artists’ interpretations of French poet Stephane Mallarmé’s revolutionary 1897 poem Un coup de dés, has been updated to include several books acquired since 2003. It will remain on view until March 17th, 2007. The exhibit honors Renée Riese Hubert, who passed away in 2005.
