2nd Floor: Grand Reading Room
- No matter which door you enter, you’ll eventually end up in the same place if you keep walking – this round area of the library is referred to as the Drum.
- The reading room has two scanners for public use.
- The print station and Card Dispenser and Regenerator is here if you need to buy a copy card or add money to your existing card or UCI ID.
- The 2nd floor is a group study area, tables and soft seating are available for your use.
2nd Floor: Consultation Desk & Reference Collection
- The Consultation Desk is common meeting location for Research Consultation Service (RCS) appointments (can’t make it to campus? Schedule an online consultation).
- The Science Reference collection includes science encyclopedias, dictionaries and more.
2nd Floor: Current Periodicals
- The new latest issues of scholarly and popular journals are arranged alphabetically by title.
- To find out if a title is in the current periodicals section, look for the "Latest issues shelved by title" note in UCI Libraries’ catalog, ANTPAC.

- Copy machines are located on every floor usually behind the elevators.
- Printers are located on every floor across from the elevators, and in the MRC.
- Scanners are available on the 2nd floor, 5th floor, and in the MRC.
