Summer Session 2022 - For Faculty/Instructors
Summer Session is soon approaching and we wanted to take this opportunity to let you know how the UCI Libraries can assist with your course materials.
The general deadline for Summer Session I is Friday, May 20th. The general deadline for Summer Session II is Friday, July 1st. We are happy to accept requests submitted any time after the deadline, but we cannot guarantee materials will be ready for your students at the start of the quarter if a request is submitted late.
Books we currently own in print or you would like us to consider purchasing for print reserves

You can also request a scan of a book/chapter or article to post in your Canvas site. You can place your requests through UC Library Search. The Libraries will follow the UC Fair Use for Teaching and Researching Guidelines when evaluating your request.
Books we currently own in electronic format or you would like us to consider purchasing for electronic reserves
Please contact your subject librarian if you would like to use one of our ebooks in your course. They can verify the usage model and discuss with you whether it would work for your class size and needs. They can also investigate options for electronic purchase.

Find Items on Reserve
Reserve Services houses course-related materials selected by faculty as required or recommended reading for their courses. Materials placed on Course Reserves can be checked out from our Check Out Desks.

Reserves requests and copyright permissions (when appropriate) should be submitted no later than 30 days before the start of an academic quarter to allow adequate time for processing. Requests submitted later will be processed as time allows. All requests are processed strictly in the order in which they were received.
